Animals on the Farm
Melsop Farm Park is home to a multitude of different animals for you to experience. The farm is designed to allow all visitors to have the opportunity to interact with as many of the animals at the park as possible as far as is safe. Below are the main groups of animals living on the farm:
Sheep

We have a various different breeds of Sheep living on the farm. The little lambs are a favourite of most of the visitors.
Goats
The goats can be seen and stroked on the pastures behind the farm like our famous Bagot Goats. They are very lively and always fun to watch.
Pigs
We have lots of pigs on the farm including our “Kune Kune’s”. The piglets have the chance to walk freely alongside the visitors and can be handled under staff supervision.
Poultry
We have lots of Chicks, Chickens and other poultry roaming freely around the farm. A farm favourite is to watch the chicks hatching and playing in their pens.
Waterfowl
Melsop Farm Park has many different types of Waterfowl that can be seen swimming in the central pond on the site or spending there days preening on the edge.
Cattle
We have a range of Cattle living on the farm eating grass and enjoying the peaceful pace of life at Melsop.
